A successful day, along with the above I also had a Woodcock fly past me at the Long Meadow. A long awaited MVCP tick for me, taking my MVCP list to 186 species... :-) I also saw a Little Egret fly over the visitors centre towards the Pillinge about 8.30am, several Cetti's Warblers were singing around the park and there was a mixed group of Swallows and Sand Martins over Wetland 3 in the late afternoon. Highlights
c30 Siskins and c20 Lesser Redpolls in the sewage works copse.
1 Oystercatcher & 1000+ gulls in the Long Meadow around 3pm.
At least 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls in the Stewartby Lake gull roost.

At least 1000 gulls in the Long Meadow, mainly Black-headed Gulls and Common Gulls.
