Quail over the border

Although this was in Cambs, this is almost certainly the bird in Beds last week too.  Two birds calling and one kindly walked out on the path.  No tapes were used.  My first ever UK Quail on the deck views. I tried for photos but didn't do well with the hand held iPhone technique...  The scope views on the other hand, were spectacular.

Not Beds but close...

Rosemary Setchfield's fine Dotterel just east of Gamlingay, was showing well tonight until 19.45 at least.
