Quail over the border

Although this was in Cambs, this is almost certainly the bird in Beds last week too.  Two birds calling and one kindly walked out on the path.  No tapes were used.  My first ever UK Quail on the deck views. I tried for photos but didn't do well with the hand held iPhone technique...  The scope views on the other hand, were spectacular.

This Quail was seen in Richard Revels Biggleswade garden.  23rd July 2013. Here is Richards story...
"Andy Darrington's mum called around as she had found a strange wasp and brought it for me to photograph. When she opened the front door to leave the Quail was right in front of the door. It ran to the edge of the slabs area then started feeding on some flower seeds.I quickly got my camera and 400mm lens and it was still there.
