2 Red-footed Falcons

2 first-summer male Red-footed Falcons, Rookery South ClP, 1st June 2008 by Steve Blain. Dire photos but at least the two birds are in both shots!

Red-footed Falcon and Gropper

I tried to get a shot of the two Red-footed Falcons passing each other in mid-air..


Close, but no cigar.. :-( It was a bit tricky to work out what falcon was crossing the one you were following in the camera..


Another shot of the obliging Gropper at the MVCP, this time a digiscoped image using my parents Canon A720IS compact camera hand-held to my scope. I'm pretty happy with both Gropper photos, but I think I prefer the shot I took yesterday with my SLR, even though the image size is bigger on this one.. Photos taken by Martin Green.
