Great White Egret
Great White Egret, Harrold and Odell CP, 30th December 2014. The third Bedfordshire record found today by Tony Gill.
Tiddenfoot CP Leighton Buzzard
I had a brief hour to spare today so decided to pop into Tiddenfoot CP to see what was about. Not a great deal to report on the lake other than the Tufted Ducks, Gadwall, Coot, Moorhen, Cormorant, Little Egret, Great Crested Grebe, Heron, Canada Goose, 30+ black headed gulls. On the circuit I ran into Goldcrest, Bullfinch, Chiffchaff, Wren, Dunnock, Fieldfare, Great Spotted & Green Woodpecker, Blue, Great & Long Tailed Tit. Not bad for a quick walk around, I was hoping to get a decent shot of a Bullfinch all to no avail once again, there seems to be plenty about but none of them are very happy to pose for me at the moment, I will keep trying into the new year. Is it me or has it been a really good year for Bullfinch they seem to be everywhere at the moment?
Happy New Year to everyone.
Happy New Year to everyone.

Penduline Tit on a Day Out In Beds 29-12-2014
A cracking day out in Beds today with another lifer for me made possible for me by the Wright Bro's who pointed me in the right direction yesterday evening for the Penduline Tit, which I might say was very obliging at 08.30 this morning. Then also helping me to finally get a half decent shot and views of the Siberian Chiffchaff at Marston Vale this afternoon, so a big thanks to them. I enclose a few shots for the record of the Penduline, Goldcrest, Song Thrush, Siberian Chiffchaff and Blue Tit for the records

Stocgrove CP today 13-12-2014
Had a lovely hour or so this morning at Stockgrove CP including a bacon roll, I was in search of the illusive Marsh Tit but no show I am afraid. However I have never seen so many Nuthatch on site, plenty of Blue, Coal & Great Tits, a few aggressive Robins and a very obliging Jay were amongst the highlights at the bridge. Only one Mandarin on site today the lake was frozen over early on. Other highlights on site today, Green & Great Spotted Woodpeckers, loads of Goldcrest, Wren, Magpies everywhere you looked, plenty of Blackbirds, Redwing and Fieldfare.
