Waxwings Putnoe Street Bedford 8th April

A garden surprise with a very vocal group of Waxwings flycatching in a large Oak tree opposite our front garden.We managed to count 11 in the tree before they flew and turned into 19! The same tree held an equally vocal Tawny owl calling away over Christmas.

A Collared Dove videod in my parent's garden near the Stewartby Lake Gullwatch using the 3x video zoom on my Canon 600D camera and a 100-400mm Canon lens set to about 250mm. with the video zoom and the cropped sensor the video is the equivalent of using an approximately 1200mm lens on a 35mm camera.
