Little Gull

A brief two minute visit by a juv/1stw Little Gull was the highlight at Dstw today. The scrape was suprisingly devoid of rare crakes, but a Water Rail, unusually, flew towards the camera ! The Ruddy Things still visit, but JL's rather shy eclipse Pintail was not on view, so a shot from yesterday must suffice.

MVCP - 19th September 2009

The Snipe was one of two that briefly visited the pond in front of the cafe in the afternoon, the Green Sandpiper was on the same pond about 8.30am - I did move in between... ;-) The Goldfinches were near the Pillinge. Photos by Martin Green.
