After Mark Thomas saw this Marsh Harrier go to roost in the washout pit at Willington on the 3rd, I saw it leave the roost at 06:30 the next morning, when these images were taken. It lifted out of the reeds and headed in a direct line north-east along the line of the Ouse, not much more than tree-top height. 4th April 2007 by Steve Blain.
