My contribution to the collection of dodgy photos of the Purple Heron... This one was taken at Wetland 9 of the MVCP where the heron dropped in for a few minutes on its return journey to Rookery after visiting Brogborough Lake. Unfortunately my camera initially refused to focus properly when the bird was a bit closer and more side-on... I'm not complaining though as I was convinced I had missed my chance to see it at the MVCP... :-) Photographs by Martin Green.

Purple Heron - MVCP
My contribution to the collection of dodgy photos of the Purple Heron... This one was taken at Wetland 9 of the MVCP where the heron dropped in for a few minutes on its return journey to Rookery after visiting Brogborough Lake. Unfortunately my camera initially refused to focus properly when the bird was a bit closer and more side-on...
