Nightingale Brogborough Gull Watch

I spent at least 4 & 1/2 hours on site this morning trying to get a half decent shot of the resident Nightingale, which I must say was extremely vocal but remained pretty much invisible throughout bar the odd partial sighting. It spent most of its time either in the middle or on the opposite side of the hawthorns adjacent to the watch point throughout.

All very frustrating when they are literally only a couple of feet away, anyway persistence finally paid off and I got a few shots of it when it let its guard down and a couple of Lesser Whitethroats distracted it.

Other birds seen on site Whitethroat, Blackcap, G S Woodie, 2 Cuckoos (together on tree in lake), Black-necked Grebe, Common Tern, Heron, Great Crested Grebe.
